It is rendered from a program (metapixel), so generating the final image took only a few minutes. The time consuming part was getting the images from the Adidas web site. I needed to write a little app to hunt for them.

Thanks. The hard part was harvesting the images from the Adidas web site. I ended up writing an app to get them for me and got about 2500 images.

I doubt they all were used in the final image. But to get a photomosaic to look good you need a lot of small images in the database to pick from. Preferably with a lot of variety of shapes and colors (which the Adidas shoes do not have).

If it wins any cash you get 1/2. I already gave you credit for the idea. If the prize is a thing (like a month subscription to DA), I don't think it is worth the hassle to split it.
